About Reducing fittings

Reducing fittings join two tubes of different outside diameter directly, without an extra adapter piece in between. All 40 items in this group are rated PN 160 to 315 bar and made of 1.4571 stainless steel to DIN 2353.

What matters when choosing

• Tube O.D. 1 and Tube O.D. 2: both sides are specified separately. Go by the tubes actually installed rather than by the nominal size of the valve upstream.
• PN: the range covers 160 to 315 bar. Smaller pairings reach 315 bar while the largest listed combination is rated 160 bar, so the larger side sets the permissible pressure.
• Sealant: FKM and NBR are available. The medium and the line temperature decide which one fits.
• Nut internal thread: it has to match the compression fitting already installed, otherwise existing nuts and cutting rings cannot be reused.
• Material: 1.4571 stainless steel throughout. Where the rest of the line is galvanised steel, plan the material transition at that point deliberately.
