Ball valves and shut-off valves close a line tightly or open it again. This branch holds 2986 items, 1848 of them listed directly here, ranging from the brass mini ball valve G 1/2" female thread at PN 15 through the needle shut-off valve G 1/8" rated -0,95 to 15 bar up to the PVC-U single union ball valve in DN 100.
Three criteria govern the choice: the shut-off principle (ball valve, angle seat valve, pinch valve, isolation valve, check valve), the actuation (T-handle, pneumatic rotary actuator, electric rotary actuator) and the body material. Bodies come in nickel plated or chrome plated brass, in stainless steel as well as in PVC-U, sealed by EPDM or FKM. Media temperature runs between -30 and +160 °C depending on the version, while ball valve face-to-face lengths are 64, 69, 83, 110 as well as 140 mm.
Ball valves and shut-off valves - product types
Define the end connection first: female thread, female / male thread, solvent socket or spigot on PVC-U, compression ends on the check valves, flanges on the larger pinch valves. Then pick the actuation. Double acting drives need control air in both directions, whereas spring closing versions travel shut by themselves once air pressure fails. On the 3/2-way shut-off valves the venting side also matters: thread side venting or hose side venting, flow from thread to hose or the reverse. Nickel plated brass combination handles replace damaged levers without exchanging the fitting.
Compressed air distribution and machine building, where mini ball valves plus needle shut-off valves isolate single consumers, while NAMUR solenoid valves G 1/4" switch the rotary actuators. In water treatment and electroplating, PVC-U ball valves sealed by EPDM serve solvent welded lines up to DN 100. Pinch valves handle abrasive, fibrous or caking media in processing and dosing systems, check valves rated 400 bar belong to hydraulic circuits. DVGW certified versions to EN 331 isolate gas lines up to 40 bar.
