Festo position sensors detect the position of grippers, clamps and drives and report it as a switching or analog signal to the control system. The SMH series mounts on Festo grippers, while SMAT and SDAT transmitters provide analog displacement measurement over the stroke.
The range covers 21 items for different gripper and cylinder sizes with M8 connection. This allows open/closed positions as well as continuous position values to be represented.
Position sensors monitor gripping states and stroke positions in handling and assembly systems. They distinguish between open and closed gripper or, as a transmitter, provide an analog displacement value for position control.
