Festo air gap sensors work on the pneumatic principle and detect distances or presence via an air stream. The program covers reflex eyes, back-pressure transmitters, emitter and receiver nozzles as well as fork light barriers.
With more than 29 items, the range covers various nozzle and reflex designs, including electrical evaluation via M12 with the SOPA series. This solves detection tasks even without electrical components in the sensing area.
Air gap sensors detect presence, distance or contact of workpieces via air streams and suit areas where electrical sensors are unsuitable. Back-pressure transmitters and nozzles check, for example, the correct seating of parts.
