Festo stepper motors move electric axes and slides in defined angular steps and are suited to cost-effective positioning tasks with moderate dynamic requirements. The EMMS-ST series is available in several sizes with and without encoder.
This group comprises 28 items, with EMMS-ST motors in sizes such as 28, 42 and 57 and variants with brake (SB) and encoder (SE). They are combined with matching Festo controllers into complete axis systems.
Stepper motors are used for positioning tasks with clearly defined approach points and uniform movements, for example in dosing, feeding and handling applications. Variants with encoder provide position feedback, and versions with a brake hold vertical axes when de-energised.
