About Gate valves

A gate valve closes the line with a wedge that moves across the flow and leaves almost the full bore open in the open position. The group covers threaded connections from G 3/8 to G 3 and nominal sizes from DN 10 to 70 mm. Permitted operating pressure is 14 to 16 bar depending on the body material.

What matters when choosing

• Thread G 3/8 to G 3 and DN 10 to 70 mm follow the existing pipework, the socket version screws in directly.
• Body in brass or 1.4401 / 1.4408 stainless steel: stainless is meant for aggressive media and outdoor installation, brass covers compressed air and water lines inside the building.
• Max. operating pressure 14 to 16 bar: the brass valves are rated 16 bar, the stainless ones 14 bar.
• Flow rate 67 to 869 l/min: the required volume decides which nominal size is actually sufficient.
• Version with or without spindle stroke: without spindle stroke the installed height stays the same while opening, which matters in shafts and crowded manifolds.
