Bushing 270, IT/IT, Rp 1 1/4, Operating temperature -20°C to 300°C, black malleable cast iron, Hot-dip galvanised Acc. to DIN EN 10242 (formerly DIN 2950) The classic - and the most popular - screw fitting series for pipe construction. About Sockets

Sockets join two pipe ends by female thread and close a line without any welding. The range covers female threads from Rp 1/4 IT to Rp 3 IT. Reducing versions bring two different sizes together, for example Rp 1 IT to Rp 1/2 IT.

What matters when choosing

• Thread: the nominal size of the pipe carrying the socket decides. Rp 1/4 IT through Rp 3 IT are available.
• Reducing version: thread 1 and thread 2 are picked separately where the cross section changes along the line. The pairing defines the direction of the reduction.
• Thread standard ISO 7-1: the mating part has to follow the same standard, otherwise the tapered joint will not seal reliably.
