About Reducing adapters

Reducers bring two different pipe threads together and save an extra adapter in the line. The group covers threads from G 1/8 to G 1 1/2, each as male or female. The parts are rated PN 250 to 630 bar.

What matters when choosing

• Thread 1 and thread 2: the pairing sets which size changes into which, for instance G 1/2 male to G 3/8 female.
• Pressure rating: PN runs from 250 to 630 bar, with the smaller thread sizes reaching the higher ratings. For the line as a whole the lowest rating among the fitted parts counts.
• Material: galvanised steel to DIN 2353 for standard duty, stainless steel 1.4571 where corrosion or demanding media are involved.
• Version: the soft sealing heavy version with an FKM seal makes sense where vibration or frequent disassembly would strain a metal to metal joint.
