Cross-piece 180, 4 x IT, Rp 2, Operating temperature -20°C to 300°C, black malleable cast iron, Hot-dip galvanised, DIN EN 10242 Acc. to DIN EN 10242 (formerly DIN 2950) The classic - and the most popular - screw fitting series for pipe construction. These fittings are characterized by their high mechanical strength and surface quality to DIN 2444. They are completely coated with a layer of pure zinc and are therefore suitable for drinking water

About Crosses

Cross pieces join four pipe ends in one plane, turning a continuous line into two opposing branches. All four ports are female threads to ISO 7-1, with sizes from Rp 1/4 up to Rp 3. The material is black malleable cast iron B350-10, hot dip galvanised.

What matters when choosing

• Thread 1 and thread 2: Rp 1/4, Rp 3/8, Rp 1/2, Rp 3/4, Rp 1, Rp 1 1/4, Rp 1 1/2, Rp 2 or Rp 3 as female threads. The nominal size follows the continuous main line, not the smaller branch.
• Thread standard: ISO 7-1. The parallel female Rp thread mates with a taper male R thread, the seal is made in the thread itself and needs a sealing compound.
• Material: black malleable cast iron B350-10 design symbol A. It carries high mechanical load and is stated for an operating temperature range from -20 °C to 300 °C.
• Surface: the items are hot dip galvanised, which allows use in damp surroundings and outdoors.
