Elastomer round cords

Seals and damping elements

Elastomer round cords are extruded solid profiles of circular section, laid into grooves as continuous stock or cut to length to form sealing rings. This category holds 86 versions to DIN ISO 3302-1 tolerance class E1, in diameters from 1.5 to 13 mm, supplied on rolls of 5 m and 10 m.

Selection follows cord diameter, elastomer type and roll length. The range covers NBR as well as EPDM at 70 Shore A, plus FKM at 75 Shore A, rated from -15 to +200 °C. Intermediate sizes such as 2.62, 3.53 and 5.33 mm match common O-ring cord thicknesses.

DIN ISO 3302-1 E1 - standardised dimensional tolerance class for extruded elastomer profiles, giving repeatable cord thickness
Ø 1.5 to 13 mm - 86 versions cover the range in fine steps, including 2.5 mm as well as 6.5 mm
70 Shore A - hardness of the NBR plus EPDM versions
FKM at 75 Shore A - higher hardness, rated from -15 to +200 °C per product data
Rolls of 5 m and 10 m - two pack lengths depending on diameter, cut to size on site

Round cord serves in machine building plus jig making, sealing covers, flaps and housings whose perimeter falls outside standard O-ring sizes. The seal is cut to length from the roll and closed into a ring inside the groove. NBR as well as EPDM at 70 Shore A suit general plant plus ventilation equipment, while FKM at 75 Shore A covers positions up to +200 °C.
