SMC air saving valves of the ASQ series regulate the flow in pneumatic drives so that air consumption is reduced. The flow control valve limits the supplied air volume on the return stroke and thus lowers consumption in applications without load demand in that direction of motion.
The series comprises more than 70 items in a screw-in design with push-in connection. Available port sizes range from G1/4 to G3/8 with tube connections from 6 to 12 mm, partly with front panel mounting.
Air saving valves are used on double-acting cylinders whose return stroke requires little or no force. By limiting the air volume in that direction, compressed air consumption and thus the energy demand of the system are reduced.
