SMC throttle quick exhaust valves of the ASV series combine an adjustable throttle with a quick exhaust function. The supply air is throttled while the exhaust air vents directly to atmosphere over a short path, enabling a fast return movement of the cylinder.
The series comprises more than 30 items in a standard design with ports from M3 to G3/8 and tube sizes from 4 to 10 mm. Throttling is set via an adjusting screw.
The combination of throttled supply air and quick exhaust suits applications with short cycle times in which the cylinder is to return quickly on one side, for example in ejection and gripping movements.
