SMC shock absorbers and compensating elements absorb the kinetic energy of moving masses at the end of stroke and convert it into heat. They limit end-position impact, protect actuators and machine parts, and thus allow shorter cycle times with controlled deceleration.
The range comprises more than 182 items of the JA series in standard and semi-standard versions with different strokes and energy capacities. Supplementary accessories for fixing and mounting are also part of the programme.
Shock absorbers are used on pneumatic cylinders, rotary actuators, index tables and conveyor equipment to decelerate moving masses in a controlled way at the end of stroke. They reduce noise, vibration and wear and allow higher travel speeds.
