The SMC CNA2(W) series comprises cylinders with an integrated locking unit that mechanically holds the piston in any position of the rod. The lock retains the load safely even on pressure loss, which raises plant safety in vertical or holding applications. The range includes the cylinders as well as mounting elements of the CA2 and CNA2 family.
More than 900 items are available, including numerous accessory and mounting parts. The locking unit adds a safe hold position to the standard cylinder without a permanent air supply.
CNA2(W) series cylinders with a locking unit are used where a load must be held safely in position, for example in vertical lifting and holding movements. The mechanical lock prevents the load from dropping on pressure loss and increases plant safety.
