Clamping Cylinder
The SMC MK series comprises swivel clamp cylinders that combine a swivel motion and a clamping stroke in one working cycle. The piston rod first swivels to the side and then performs the clamping stroke, so the workpiece stays freely accessible for loading and unloading. The range covers sizes such as MKB16, MKB25, MKB32 and MKB40 in left-hand and right-hand versions.
More than 200 items are available, including standard versions with a sensor mounting groove and matching accessories. The cylinders are used to clamp workpieces in fixtures.
MK series swivel clamp cylinders are used in clamping fixtures to fix workpieces during machining or assembly. Thanks to the combined swivel and clamping motion the cylinder releases the workpiece when opening, which eases loading and unloading.
