Festo standard valves in Namur design to VDE/VDI 3845 are used for direct mounting onto pneumatic part-turn and linear actuators. The Namur interface provides a standardised connection pattern for linking the solenoid valve and the actuator.
This design relies on direct mounting without external tubing and so reduces the installation effort on process valves. An EX version with 5/2-way function is available for use in potentially explosive areas.
Namur valves are used to actuate pneumatic part-turn drives on process valves in process, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The standardised mounting interface to VDI 3845 allows direct attachment to the actuator without additional tubing.
