The standardised interface to ISO 5599-1 allows valves from different manufacturers to be exchanged on common sub-bases and valve manifolds. 5/2-way valves control double-acting cylinders and switch between two stable positions.
Standard valves to ISO 5599-1 are used in process and manufacturing automation to control double-acting cylinders. The EX variants are applied in areas with explosion-protection requirements.
