About Lock nut

Counter nuts lock a screwed component in position by being tightened against the socket or the wall. Without one, a pipe section set to length turns out of alignment the next time the joint is pulled up. The group holds 9 sizes with female threads to ISO 7-1, from Rp 1/4 to Rp 3.

What matters when choosing

• Thread: Rp 1/4, Rp 3/8, Rp 1/2, Rp 3/4, Rp 1, Rp 1 1/2, Rp 2, Rp 2 1/2 or Rp 3 as female threads. The nut is selected to match the thread of the part being locked.
• Thread standard: ISO 7-1. The parallel female thread fits the taper male R thread of fittings and pipe nipples from the same series.
• Material: black malleable cast iron B350-10 design symbol A, stated for an operating temperature range from -20 °C to 300 °C. The nut therefore holds its tightening torque in warm lines too.
