Double piston pressure multiplier (booster) with controller, G 3/8, Piston Ø 63 mm, Reinforced 2:1, Input pressure 2-10 bar The booster increases the existing supply pressure for one or more actuators in a fixed transmission ratio (see technical data) and thus provides the required working pressure. The booster is not suitable for applications that have a longer lasting air consumption - such as pneumatic grinders, air motors, vacuum generation via Venturi nozzles, etc. The design uses two coupled oscillating differential pistons and integrated check valves. To avoid fluctuations in output pressure, the use of a tank for pressure build-up and storage of compressed air is recommended. Operation with filtered and unlubricated or lubricated compressed air possible (once lubricated, continuous lubrication is necessary).

About Air-air pressure multipliers (boosters)

An air to air pressure booster raises the available supply pressure by a fixed ratio and so provides the working pressure a single actuator needs, without running the whole system higher. The boosters take an input pressure up to 10 bar and come with piston diameters of 40 and 63 mm. The group also holds compressed air receivers with 2 x G 1/2 female rated to 11 bar as well as seal sets.

What matters when choosing

• Thread: G 1/8 or G 3/8 on the boosters, 2 x G 1/2 female on the receivers. The smaller port belongs to the 40 mm piston, the larger one to 63 mm.
• Piston diameter: 40 or 63 mm. It sets the air delivered per stroke and therefore how much consumption the outlet can cover.
• Version with or without controller: items with a controller are rated PA max. 16 bar, those without PA max. 20 bar. Both work at a 2:1 ratio with an input pressure of 2 to 10 bar.
• Receiver volume: 1, 2.5, 5, 7 or 12 litres. A receiver downstream of the booster buffers the boosted air and covers short peaks.
• Housing: anodised aluminium or plastic coated steel (FeP04).
