About Bends 90° and 45°

Elbows turn a threaded pipe run through 90° or 45° without bending or welding. Thread sizes run from Rp 1/4 female up to Rp 3 female, which covers small branch lines as well as main runs. All 109 items use ISO 7-1 threads.

What matters when choosing

• Thread 1 defines the size and runs from Rp 1/4 female to Rp 3 female. It follows the nominal bore of the connected pipe rather than the space available.
• Thread 2 determines the body style. Versions with R 3/8 male to R 2 male give the female/male transition elbow, two female threads from Rp 1/2 to Rp 1 1/2 give the plain connecting elbow between two nipples.
• The angle follows the routing. Use 90° for a tight change of direction, 45° where the turn should be flatter or where two elbows form an offset.
• The whole series uses ISO 7-1 threads. Parts with parallel threads cannot be screwed in directly and need an adapter.
• The material is black malleable cast iron B350-10 Design Symbol A throughout. A different material class, for drinking water for example, calls for a different fitting series.
