5/2-way valve, Both sides pneumatic, bistable, G 1/2, DN 15, Operating pre. 2.5 to 10 bar, Operating temp. -10 °C to 60 °C This valve design, featuring the Tapered Tee Seal®, offers the ability to run without lubrication and supports almost any compressed air quality. The valves are largely resistant to dirt and can thus also be used under extreme conditions without any problems. Leakage is now a thing of the past and the spool no longer sticks, even after long idle periods.

About Valves pneumatically operated

Pneumatically actuated directional valves switch the air path via a pneumatic pilot signal, with no electrical components on the valve itself. They operate at up to 10 bar and cover nominal sizes from DN 5 to DN 15. This makes them the choice for cylinders, grippers and clamping units in circuits that are built entirely in pneumatics.

What matters when choosing

• The function defines the job the valve does in the circuit. 3/2 NC and 3/2 NO suit single-acting actuators, 5/2 suits double-acting cylinders, and 5/3 is used where the piston has to hold a mid position.
• Connections run from M5 IT through G 1/8 and G 1/4 up to G 1/2. Base the choice on the cross section of the supply line rather than on cylinder size alone.
• Flow rate ranges from 250 to 2000 l/min depending on size and determines how fast the connected cylinder travels. Sizes BG 100 to BG 400 give the practical sorting order.
• Maximum operating pressure is 8 or 10 bar. The lower limit goes down to -0.99 bar on part of the range, so those versions also work under vacuum.
• Series 70 comes as a standard version and as a low temperature version. Cold environments call for the low temperature build, which uses components selected for that duty.

• Manifold builds on multiple base plates and single interlocking plates where several valves share one supply

Sealing is NBR and the bodies are anodised aluminium, reaching IP 65 protection on the version rated for it. The medium is filtered compressed air with or without lubrication, and once lubrication is introduced it has to be maintained continuously.
