3/2-5/2-way valve, NAMUR, Anodised aluminium, Operating temp. -25 °C to 60 °C, 2 - 10 bar, G 1/4 (1), G 1/8 (3+5), 24 V DC Pilot-operated 3/2 and 5/2-way spool valves with threaded port connections and a NAMUR style interface. The two conversion plates supplied with each valve allow the device to be adapted to a 3/2-way or 5/2-way function. The valve is turned on by a continuous signal. Turning off causes the piston to be returned to its initial position under pressure. Includes a manual operator as standard.

About NAMUR valves

NAMUR valves bolt straight onto the pneumatic quarter-turn actuator of a valve, so the standard interface replaces the tubing between valve and actuator. The group covers DN 5 to 10 mm with a flow rate of 650 to 1650 l/min. An adapter plate is supplied, which lets the same valve run as a 3/2-way or a 5/2-way version.

What matters when choosing

• Function 3-way or 5-way: the 3/2 arrangement suits single-acting actuators with spring return, the 5/2 arrangement suits double-acting actuators.
• DN 5 to 10 mm together with a flow rate of 650 to 1650 l/min. Nominal size sets the stroke time, and large actuator volumes need the upper end of the flow range.
• Voltage 230 V AC or 24 V DC to match the existing control system. The series offers both variants in otherwise identical form.
• Working pressure: the lower limit is 0.5 to 2.5 bar depending on the item, the upper limit 8 to 10 bar. The minimum figure is the critical one, because pilot-operated valves do not switch reliably below it.
• Operating temperature of -25 to -5 °C at the low end and 50 to 70 °C at the top, sealed with NBR or with NBR and PUR. Both limit outdoor use and mounting on warm plant sections.
