About Precision pressure gauges
Micrometre pressure gauges are Bourdon tube instruments built for precision readings where a standard gauge resolves too coarsely. All 34 versions in this group use a 160 mm case and a G 1/2 male thread, with measuring ranges up to 400 bar. That makes them the reference instrument on test benches and in maintenance work.
What matters when choosing
- Max. measuring range: the group covers 0 to 400 bar. Pick the full scale value so that the normal working pressure sits near mid scale, which is where a Bourdon tube gauge reads most accurately.
- Diameter: 160 mm throughout. Check the space available in the panel cut-out or gauge board before ordering.
- Thread: every unit has G 1/2 male. If the measuring point differs, adapt it with a pressure gauge fitting.
- Housing: CrNi steel 1.4301 or CrNi steel 304 depending on the version. In damp or chemically loaded ambient air the material stated for the individual article decides.
- Medium temperature: from -20 °C up to 60 to 80 °C depending on version. Hotter media have to be cooled down ahead of the instrument.
Typical applications
- Test and setting stations that need a finer reading than a standard gauge provides.
- Check measurements on pressure reducers and control valves during maintenance.
- Monitoring of compressed air networks and regulator outlets in the low bar range.
- Hydraulic test set-ups up to 400 bar.
- Fixed gauge boards where the pointer has to stay readable from several metres away.
Cases are made of CrNi steel 1.4301 or CrNi steel 304, production takes place in Germany and Poland. According to the catalogue data the gauges suit gaseous and liquid media that are neither highly viscous nor crystallising and do not attack copper alloys.
