Spiral hose coupling set, Push button safety coupling I.D. 7.2, PU, Hose Ø 10x6.5, PN at 23 °C max. 11 bar, Length 3.0 m These exceptionally elastic polyurethane hoses boast a recoil force similar to that of conventional polyamide spiral hose, but with less tendency to loop and significantly better resistance to abrasion. There is consequently less danger of scratching coated or sensitive surfaces. The hose is extremely flexible and non-kinking. Not suitable for direct attachment to pulsating tools. We recommend using our vibration dampers, according to ISO 6150 § 7.1.

About Spiral hoses

Spiral hoses carry compressed air to moving workstations and pull themselves back once released, so no loop is left lying on the floor for anyone to trip over. Operating pressure across the group is 10 to 16 bar, with an operating temperature range from -40 °C to 100 °C. Some items ship as a complete kit with blow gun and permanently fitted coupling.

What matters when choosing

• Type of connection: combinations range from standard coupling NW 7.2 with nipple NW 7.2 through push-button safety coupling NW 7.4 to steel coupling NW 7.8. Safety couplings vent the hose before it separates and are the better choice on hand-held tools.
• Thread: for permanent fitting the range offers G 1/4 male and G 3/8 male plus taper R 1/8 male, R 1/4 male and R 3/8 male.
• Operating pressure: the range is rated at 10 to 16 bar maximum, and each item additionally states the maximum operating pressure at 23 °C. In warm surroundings that second figure is the one to work with.
• Temperature: minimum operating temperature -40 °C to 0 °C and maximum 50 °C to 100 °C, with a medium temperature of -20 °C to 60 °C quoted for part of the range. For outdoor and cold areas the lower value governs.
• Working length and geometry: maximum working length, number of coils and outer spiral diameter set both reach and recoil force. A wider coil reaches further but sags more.
