Captive swivel safety coupling I.D. 6, ISO 6150 C, Steel, 2-stage, Sleeve I.D. 6, yellow, max. 25 bar, Temp. -15 °C to 200 °C High quality, robust and long lifetime one-hand rotation secure coupling. A secure connection is made by pushing in the plug-in nipple that clicks in audibly. Uncoupling is done by rotating the sleeve anti-clockwise. For this, the pending pressure in the coupling and line are vented, however the plug-in nipple is not completely released via a safety latch. The plug-in nipple can only be pulled out after a clockwise rotation of the sleeve. The colour and shape coding of the coupling and plug-in nipple makes it possible only to couple to the same colours. This coupling meets ISO standard DIN EN ISO 4414, EN 983. Areas of application: Pneumatic system, machine and plant engineering, measurement, monitoring and control systems, manufacturing industry, workshops, automotive, mining.

About Non-interchangeable, quick-lock couplings
Captive quick-connect couplings keep several media circuits apart in tight installations. Coupling and plug carry a colour code and each colour uses its own profile, so a line can only be connected to the circuit it belongs to. Depending on the version, maximum operating pressure is 25 to 35 bar.
What matters when choosing
- Connection: G 1/8, G 3/8, G 1/4 and G 1/2 are offered as male or female threads to suit the existing manifold or hose fitting.
- Colour and plug profile: assign one colour per media circuit. Coupling and plug must share that colour, otherwise the profiles will not mate.
- Sealant: NBR covers ordinary compressed air duties, FKM is the choice for more aggressive media and higher temperatures.
- Housing: plain brass and brass Ms58 for standard use, QPQ treated steel where frequent coupling meets a harsher environment.
- Overall length: allow for 45 to 75 mm when the coupling sits inside a panel or a cable duct.
Typical applications
- Work stations where compressed air and a second medium are tapped side by side
- Test and measuring benches running several separate circuits
- Jig and tool making with changing connection points
- Machines with separate circuits for cooling and control air
- Maintenance interfaces where mixing up lines has to be ruled out
Medium temperature runs from -20 °C to 100 °C and sealing is by NBR or FKM. Production takes place in Germany and Turkey.
