About Angle-seat valves
An angle seat valve shuts off and opens media lines through a pneumatic piston drive, with the disc set at an angle to the flow. The product text credits that geometry with excellent flow figures, because the flow path stays largely straight. The group runs from G 1/2 to G 2 female and works at medium temperatures from -10 °C to 180 °C.
What matters when choosing
- Thread: G 1/2, G 3/4, G 1, G 1 1/4, G 1 1/2 or G 2 female. Port size governs the flow that is available.
- Housing: bronze for neutral media, stainless steel AISI 316 for aggressive media. This choice decides the media resistance.
- Function: every valve in the group is NC, so it closes when no control pressure is applied.
- Operating pressure differential: the sample items state 10 to 16 bar depending on port size. The permitted figure falls as the nominal bore grows.
- Sealant: PTFE, which carries the medium temperature up to 180 °C.
