About Blow guns
Air guns put compressed air exactly where chips, dust or residual moisture have to go. Maximum operating pressure is between 8 and 16 bar depending on the model, and normal working pressure goes up to 6 bar.
What matters when choosing
- The connection has to match the coupling already in use. Available are nipples for I.D. 7.2 - 7.8 and I.D. 5, hose barbs for I.D. 6, 9 and 13, and female threads G 1/4 and Rc 1/4.
- Material governs weight and durability. Plastic and POM are light in the hand, while aluminium, nickel-plated die-cast aluminium and chrome-plated aluminium stand up longer to workshop use.
- Maximum operating pressure ranges from 8 to 16 bar. Networks running above 8 bar leave only the models rated for it.
- Some models also carry a working pressure figure with a lower limit of 1 to 2 bar and an upper limit of 6 bar. Anyone blowing off delicate parts at reduced pressure should check that range.
- Operating temperature starts between -20 °C and -10 °C and ends between 45 °C and 90 °C. In unheated halls and outdoor workplaces the lower figure is what counts.
Typical applications
- Blowing out bores, grooves and hollow parts after machining
- Cleaning workpieces and fixtures before assembly or coating
- Removing chips and cutting fluid on machine tools
- Blowing off residual water after parts washing
- Cleaning machines and workplaces in maintenance work
Alongside the standard models the group carries the Typhoon, Typhoon Plus and Typhoon pro series. The 153 items come from Italy, Germany, France, Sweden and the USA among other origins.
