Pipe thread sealing tape DVGW/KTW approval acc. to DIN EN 751-1, Temp. -55°C to 150°C, PN max. 5 bar (gas), 16 bar (potable water) Universal, non-curing thread sealant in the form of impregnated nylon yarn. About Sealing materials

Sealing rings close the gap between a fitting and its mating part where the thread itself does not seal. The group holds 44 articles for threads from M5 to G 1, usually supplied in packs of 100.

What matters when choosing

• Material is the first decision. Vulcanised fibre and polyamide cover standard fittings, PA 6 and PVC are further plastic options, copper and aluminium seal metal to metal, and PTFE is intended for chemically loaded points.
• Temperature narrows the choice. Vulcanised fibre is rated to 105 °C, polyamide to 85 °C.
• The ring has to match the thread. Sizes are listed for threads from M5 to G 1, together with inside diameter, outside diameter and height H.
• Metal or plastic affects how much tightening force is needed and how far the ring deforms as the joint is pulled up.
• Besides rings, the group contains coil stock of 12 m length for sealing threads.
