About Hearing protection

Hearing protection belongs to the standard kit wherever air tools, blow-off work and machinery produce constant noise. The three versions cover SNR values from 25 to 34 dB and range from the foam ear plug to the earmuff.

What matters when choosing

• SNR value: 34 dB for the foam ear plugs, 31 dB for the earmuffs and 25 dB for the banded plugs. The figure is the average attenuation and is set against the noise level measured at the workplace.
• Max. noise level range: up to 105 dB for the earmuffs and up to 101 dB for the banded version. That is the limit each design is intended for.
• Design and wearing time: the banded protector is stated to be made for short spells and has a low contact pressure. The earmuff with padded headband and two-point suspension is meant for longer wear.
• Material: polyurethane foam for the plugs, slow recovery, with a light and even contact pressure.
