About Male connectors

Straight push-in fittings join tube and threaded port without tools, the tube is simply pushed in and held by the collet. The range takes tube outside diameters from 3 to 20 mm and works up to 10 to 20 bar. At the low end working pressure reaches -0.99 bar and therefore covers vacuum duty.

What matters when choosing

  • Thread: Available are M5 male, G 1/8 to G 1/2 male, tapered R 1/8 to R 1/2 male plus female G 1/8, G 1/4 and G 3/8. Parallel G threads need a sealing face, tapered R threads seal in the thread itself.
  • For tube O.D.: The range runs from 3 to 20 mm and refers to the outside diameter of the tube. It has to match the tube or plastic pipe exactly.
  • Working pressure: The upper limit sits between 10 and 20 bar depending on version, the lower limit between -0.99 and 0 bar. Vacuum duty needs the version with the negative lower limit.
  • Material and sealant: Plastic with nickel-plated brass, nickel-plated brass and stainless steel 1.4404 are offered, sealed with NBR, FKM or FPM, or FKM or FPM in an FDA-compliant version.
  • Series and medium: The Blue Series, Blue Series mini, click-clock, metallica, universal short, inox line and NonPlusUltra series differ in material and design. Listed media are compressed air, water, neutral gases and liquids, oil and grease as well as corrosive media within material compatibility.

  • Direct tube connection on cylinders, valves and air preparation units.
  • Piping of control blocks and valve manifolds inside cabinets.
  • Vacuum lines on suction cups in handling equipment.
  • Plants with wet cleaning that call for stainless steel 1.4404.
  • Filling equipment close to the product where an FDA-compliant seal is required.

Thread standards DIN EN ISO 228-1, ISO 7-1 and DIN 13-1 are recorded for part of the 384 items. Operating temperature is stated as -20 °C at the low end and 80 to 150 °C at the top, depending on material.
