Inline ejector »VR«, Nozzle size 0.9 mm, Compressed air connection G 1/4 IT, Vacuum connection G 1/8 IT, PN max. 5 bar For vacuum generation directly at the point of use. For direct installation between the suction pad and the compressed air supply. Purely pneumatic vacuum generator that operates on the Venturi principle. Compressed air enters the ejector and flows through a nozzle. This results in a vacuum immediately behind the nozzle outlet, and air is drawn in through the vacuum inlet. This air and the driving air leave the ejector and enter the atmosphere via the exhaust air outlet. PropertiesVacuum generator with a high maximum vacuum value (85%)No moving parts, which means no wear and no maintenanceExtremely space-saving installation, ideal where space is restrictedMinimum compressed air consumptionLow noise output ApplicationsDirect installation on the suction pad by screwing / plugging into the distribution beamHandling all kinds of workpiece

About Vacuum ejectors
Vacuum ejectors generate negative pressure right at the gripping point by driving compressed air through a nozzle on the Venturi principle. No separate vacuum pump is needed, the existing air network does the work at an operating pressure of 4.5 to 6 bar. The group runs from the small basic ejector to the compact ejector with vacuum switch and air saving control.
What matters when choosing
- Nozzle size is the first criterion. Together with the maximum suction rate it decides how quickly the workpiece is held.
- Air consumption during suction drives the running cost. It weighs more heavily on long holding times than on short cycles.
- Connection: push in connector, plug connection or threaded connection. Plug versions are quicker to fit, threaded ports suit fixed pipework.
- Operating pressure: versions are rated for a maximum of 4.5 to 6 bar and some call for at least 5 bar. Line pressure has to match the design point of the nozzle.
- Size: length ranges from 35 to 228 mm. For mounting directly on the gripper, width, height and a fitted silencer count alongside length and weight.
Typical applications
- Handling sheet metal and panels with vacuum cups
- Labelling and packaging machines with short cycle times
- Pick and place and part feeding in electronics production
- Workholding on vacuum tables at machining centres
- Local vacuum generation at the machine instead of a central pump
Depending on version the housings are made of plastic, of impact resistant plastic or of anodised aluminium. Production takes place in Germany and China.
