About Two-hand safety control valves

A two-hand safety control releases the output signal only when both push buttons are operated with a time offset of less than 0.4 seconds. As long as both hands rest on the buttons they are out of the danger zone of the fixture. If one input signal is interrupted, the output signal is switched off as well. The series runs on 2.5 to 8 bar of filtered, unlubricated compressed air.

What matters when choosing

• Scope of supply: the complete safety console of housing and valve block, the valve without console for fitting into a control panel of your own, or the valve adapter for DIN rails as a mounting part.
• Connection: quick-connect plug for 4 mm hose, so the control can be tied into existing tubing without a screwed fitting.
• Operating pressure: 2.5 to 8 bar. The minimum figure is the critical one, because safe function is not covered below it.
• Medium: filtered, unlubricated compressed air. An air preparation unit with a filter therefore belongs upstream of the control.
• Max. time offset of the input signals and type of actuation: the 0.4 second offset defines what counts as simultaneous two-hand operation. Actuation is by push button.
