About Hydraulic ball valves
Hydraulic ball valves shut off a pressure line with a quarter turn, without opening up the pipework. The group runs from DN 4 to DN 25 and is rated for operating pressures of 420 to 500 bar. All 23 items have a steel body.
What matters when choosing
- DN 4 to 25 mm: the nominal bore follows the cross section of the line. Too small costs pressure, too large costs installation space.
- Threads from M12x1.5 to M42x2.0 plus G 1/8: the metric sizes belong to the tube fittings, the G 1/8 pipe thread to connections on equipment ports.
- Lightweight or heavy-duty series: the heavy series is meant for more highly loaded lines, the lightweight series saves weight and space at the same nominal bore.
- Max. operating pressure 420 to 500 bar: the smaller bores are rated at 500 bar, from DN 16 upwards the permitted pressure drops to 420 bar. The design pressure of the system has to stay below that.
- Operating temperature -10 °C to 100 °C: the range covers warm hydraulic oil as well as cold starts in outdoor use.
