About Capsule-type pressure gauges

Capsule pressure gauges read low pressures in the millibar range, where a bourdon tube gauge is too coarse. The sensing element is a pressure capsule that deflects at very small pressure differences. Gauges in this group come in 63 to 100 mm nominal sizes with G 1/4 ET or G 1/2 ET connections.

What matters when choosing

• The measuring range comes first. It is quoted per article and should be picked so the normal working value sits around mid scale.
• Nominal size of 63 mm or 100 mm follows reading distance and available space. The larger dial allows a finer scale division.
• Case options are steel, CrNi steel 304 and CrNi steel 1.4301. The CrNi versions are the ones for damp surroundings, cleaning agents or outdoor mounting.
• The connection is G 1/4 ET or G 1/2 ET and has to match the measuring point. Connection position is stated per article.
• Medium temperature starts at -20 °C, with the upper limit between 60 and 100 °C depending on version.
