5/3-way solenoid valve, pressure centre, G 1/8, 490 l/min, 24 V DC, LED connector - YPC SF2503

The SF2503 switches a double-acting cylinder in both directions. In the spring-centred middle position supply pressure is applied to both working ports, exhaust is blocked and the piston is held from both sides. At 5 bar up to 490 l/min pass through the G 1/8 ports. The 24 V DC coil can be driven directly from a PLC output.

Advantages

• In the centre position both working ports are pressurised, so the piston is held from both sides.
• Switching time of 35 ms max. at 5 bar and up to 3 Hz switching frequency for short machine cycles.
• 18 mm body width and a 15 mm coil, so several valves can sit close together.
• Oil-free operation, no lubrication required. If the air is oiled, use ISO VG32.
• An LED in the connector shows the switching state at the valve, and the suppressor damps the coil turn-off voltage.

Applications

• Holding cylinders with a through rod, where the forces on both sides balance out.
• Control of two separate single-acting consumers that both stay supplied in the rest position.
• Systems with many valves, where the LED makes troubleshooting possible without a meter.

Accessories and spare parts

The replacement solenoid coil, type L for 24 V DC with 2 W, is available separately. The valve uses two of them. Several valves can be combined on an SF2000 series manifold with 2 to 14 stations, with supply and exhaust ports in size 1/4.
