Festo proximity switches detect the end positions of pneumatic cylinders without contact and report piston positions to the control system. The SME and SMT designs mount on the matching slot profiles of the cylinders and use magnetic-field-sensitive switching elements.
The range covers more than 96 items with various connection options (cable, M8/M12 plug), LED status indication and versions for 24 V and 230 V. Accessories such as mounting kits complete the program.
Proximity switches are used for end-position sensing of pneumatic cylinders in assembly, handling and packaging systems. They provide the controller with a clear signal about the piston position reached, enabling reliable sequence control.
