Festo inductive sensors detect metallic objects without contact and are used for position and presence monitoring in automation. The SIED series is offered in the common thread sizes M12 and M18 and connected via M12 plug or cable.
The program covers more than 252 items with normally open and normally closed function (ZS/ZO), PNP and NPN switching outputs as well as flush and non-flush mounting versions. This covers different switching distances and installation conditions.
Inductive sensors monitor metallic workpieces, drivers and cams in assembly and conveying systems. As they operate wear-free and without mechanical contact, they suit high switching frequencies and harsh environments.
