5/3-way solenoid valve, pilot-operated, exhaust centre, G 1/4, 600 l/min, 12 V DC - E.MC

When a cylinder has to do more than reach its two end positions, stopping or being released along the way, a 5/3-way valve is the right choice. The pilot-operated valve from the E.MC RV series switches with two 12 V DC coils and passes up to 600 l/min at its G 1/4 port. With neither coil energised, the spool sits in the centre position. Both working ports are then open to exhaust. The actuator is depressurised and can be pushed by hand.

Advantages

• Flow rate of 600 l/min at 3.9 mm nominal diameter and 12 mm² effective area (Cv 0.67), enough air for brisk strokes without the valve throttling them.
• Response time below 0.05 s and up to 3 cycles per second for cycled sequences.
• Operating pressure of 1.5 to 8 bar with a 12 bar test pressure, and the air does not need to be lubricated.
• IP65 protection to DIN 40050 and insulation class F, each coil draws 3 W.

Applications

• Mobile equipment and battery-powered systems running on 12 V DC.
• Setting up and adjusting fixtures where the cylinder has to be moved by hand at rest.
• Medium-size cylinders in fixtures and feeders, piped in G 1/4.

A matching 12 V DC replacement coil, type T1, is available separately. For wiring with plug-in connectors, E.MC lists connection cables in 0.3, 0.6 and 1 m lengths.
