The SMC AFM20-40 range comprises modular micro filters for fine separation in compressed-air preparation. They remove fine oil droplets and residual particles that a standard filter lets through, and are usually placed downstream of a pre-filter.
As part of the new modular FRL generation, the micro filters can be chained with further maintenance devices. The range covers more than 200 items in various sizes and ports.
Micro filters are used where compressed air of increased purity is required, for example upstream of precision valves, instrumentation or sensitive actuators. They supplement standard filters as a second preparation stage.
