The SMC AFD20-40 range comprises modular sub-micro filters for the finest stage of compressed-air preparation. They separate the smallest oil and solid particles that standard and micro filters pass, delivering compressed air of high purity.
As a module of the new FRL generation, the sub-micro filter can be chained with further maintenance devices and usually follows an upstream micro filter. The range covers more than 200 items in various sizes.
Sub-micro filters are used where the highest compressed-air purity is required, for example in measurement and painting technology or with sensitive pneumatic controls. They form the finest preparation stage downstream of micro filters.
