Aventics membrane cylinders use a flexible diaphragm instead of a conventional piston seal and are suited to short strokes with high actuating force and largely maintenance-free operation. This category lists more than 200 items from the RDC and 102 series, ranging from compact diaphragm and piston cylinders to piston rod cylinders.
The RDC series combines diaphragm and piston principles in single- or double-acting versions, while the 102 series covers typical bore and stroke combinations. The low-friction design without a sliding rod seal makes these cylinders suitable for clamping, pressing and gripping tasks with a defined end position.
Membrane cylinders are used wherever short strokes, high forces and a long service life without adjustable seals are required: clamping fixtures, pressing and joining processes, holding and positioning in jig and special machine construction. The low-seal design reduces leakage and maintenance effort.
