5/3-way air-piloted valve, exhaust centre, G 1/4, 850 l/min, pilot port G 1/8 - E.MC

A 5/3-way valve drives a double-acting cylinder in both directions and decides what happens in the third position. This valve from the E.MC RVA series is switched purely pneumatically through two G 1/8 pilot ports and passes up to 850 l/min at its G 1/4 port with a nominal diameter of 4.8 mm. With no pressure on either pilot port, the spool sits in the centre position. Both working ports are then open to exhaust. The actuator is depressurised and can be pushed by hand.

• Flow rate of 850 l/min at 4.8 mm nominal diameter, enough air for brisk strokes without the valve throttling them.
• Valve body and spool in aluminium alloy, POM piston, NBR O-rings.
• Pilot pressure of 2 to 8 bar on two G 1/8 ports, so the signal comes from the same air supply as the valve.
• Operating pressure of 1.5 to 8 bar with a 12 bar test pressure, and the air does not need to be lubricated.

Applications

• Medium-size cylinders with higher air demand where the exhaust should also be led off in G 1/4.
• Setting up and adjusting fixtures where the cylinder has to be moved by hand at rest.
• Purely pneumatic controls in areas where no electrical wiring is to be installed.
