Y-piece 220, IT/IT/IT, Rp 1/2, Operating temperature -20°C to 300°C, black malleable cast iron, Hot-dip galvanised, DIN EN 10242 Acc. to DIN EN 10242 (formerly DIN 2950) The classic - and the most popular - screw fitting series for pipe construction. These fittings are characterized by their high mechanical strength and surface quality to DIN 2444. They are completely coated with a layer of pure zinc and are therefore suitable for drinking water

About Y-piece

The figure 220 Y-piece splits a threaded line into two branches, and all three ports are female threads. In pipework, malleable cast iron is the choice for joints that take mechanical load and may run up to 300 °C. The group offers Rp 1/2, Rp 3/4 and Rp 1.

What matters when choosing

• Thread 1 to thread 3: Rp 1/2 IT, Rp 3/4 IT and Rp 1 IT. In this series all ports are the same size, so the size follows the existing pipework.
• Thread standard ISO 7-1: Rp is the parallel female thread for joints made pressure tight on the thread, the mating part being a taper male thread.
• Material: black malleable cast iron B350-10 to design symbol A. It carries far higher mechanical load than a plastic fitting and is the most widely used version in pipework.
• Surface: the feature states the finish per item, the Y-pieces being listed hot dip galvanised. The zinc coating is the deciding point for outdoor lines and damp surroundings.
• Temperature range: -20 °C to 300 °C operating temperature, which also covers steam and heating lines where a plastic fitting is out of the question.
