Pre-assembly supports for stainless steel cutting ring fitting, M16x1.5, Pipe exterior Ø 10 mm, AF 17, PN max. 315 bar When stainless steel pipes are assembled, they must always be pre-assembled in a hardened pre-assembly adapter. They must never be assembled directly in the stainless steel adapter. The cones of the pre-assembly adapters are susceptible to wear and must therefore be inspected at regular intervals to check that they are still true to gauge. We recommend using only seamless, soft-annealed, stainless steel pipes made of 1.4571 according to DIN 2391 Part 1 or DIN 2462, tolerance class D4/T3. Suitable for compressed air, liquids, natural gas and hydraulics. Not suitable for nitrogen, oxygen, helium, hydrogen or welding gases!

About Pre-assembly adapters

Pre-assembly supports are hardened tool bodies in which the cutting ring is pre-set onto the tube before the actual fitting is made up. With stainless steel tube this intermediate step is required, since pre-assembly directly in the stainless fitting body should be avoided. The range covers threads from M8x1 to M30x2 for tube outside diameters of 4 to 22 mm.

What matters when choosing

• Thread: M8x1 up to M30x2 male. The support has to match the thread of the fitting that will be used later.
• Tube O.D.: 4 to 22 mm. Thread and tube size belong together, M16x1.5 for instance goes with 10 mm tube.
• PN: 100 to 315 bar. Sizes M8x1 to M12x1 are rated at 100 bar, the remaining sizes at 315 bar.
• Material: hardened steel 1.7227 across the range, so the cone survives repeated pre-assembly.
• SW: spanner sizes run from 10 to 24 and decide which tool has to be at hand at the pre-assembly station.
