EtherNet/IP fieldbus valve terminal, 8 x 5/2-way single solenoid, M5 top ports on the valves, 24 V DC - E.MC

This E.MC S1V series valve terminal combines 8 single-solenoid 5/2-way valves on a common base plate. Supply and exhaust run centrally through G 1/8, while the M5 working ports are located on top of the valves. A EtherNet/IP bus module comes fitted, so the controller addresses every solenoid over the network. At 164.5 mm overall length the manifold fits into tight enclosures.

Advantages

• EtherNet/IP bus module with 2x M12 socket, 4-pin, D-coded (bus in/out), module current draw below 120 mA.
• Diagnostics report communication faults, short circuit, wire break, reverse polarity and under- or overvoltage, and the output state on bus failure can be parameterised.
• M5 ports with a nominal cross-section of 5 mm² (Cv 0.28), around 230 l/min flow per station.
• Response time of 15 ms or less at 5 bar and up to 5 switching cycles per second per valve.
• Only 0.8 W per solenoid at 24 V DC ±10 %, so 8 valves draw 6.4 W in total.

Applications

• Machines on a EtherNet/IP network, where the terminal is daisy-chained to the next node through its two bus ports.
• Small cylinders and grippers on thin tubing, for which 230 l/min per station is sufficient.
• Assembly cells with cylinders, grippers and rotary actuators served jointly by 8 valve positions.
• Cabinet or machine mounting with easily accessible tube connections on top of each valve.

Conversion and extension

The valves can be swapped for individually available valves with one or two solenoids or for blanking plates. Stations are counted from the electrical connection.
