Valve terminal 2 Series, 12x 5/2-way single solenoid, G 1/8 top-ported, multipole D-sub - E.MC

When several cylinders on a machine work in sequence, this terminal replaces 12 separately piped and wired valves. The valves sit side by side on a 16 mm pitch and are driven together through a 25-pin D-sub connector.

Advantages

• One connector for all coils: 25-pin D-sub that swivels through 90° for a vertical or horizontal cable exit.
• Reconfigurable: any station can later take a valve with one or two coils, including 5/3-way or 2x 3/2-way functions.
• Long service life: at least 40 million cycles, aluminium body and spool, NBR seals.
• Ports within easy reach: the G 1/8 outlets sit on top of the valves, easy to get at during commissioning.
• High flow per station: effective area 16.2 mm² (Cv 0.9) on a pitch of only 16 mm.

Applications

• Control cabinets or machine frames with a DIN rail, connected to the PLC through a pre-assembled D-sub cable
• Layouts with little room to the side, where the tubes leave upwards
• Multi-axis sequences with up to 12 cylinders supplied centrally from one valve terminal
• Assembly and packaging machines with mid-size cylinders that need more flow per valve
