Ball valves and actuators
High-pressure ball valves
High-pressure ball valves for lines up to 500 bar: straight-through valves in zinc-plated steel, stainless steel or nickel-plated brass, 3-way ball valves with L-port or T-port and pneumatically actuated versions. Connections are G 1/8 to G 4 and NPT 1/4 to NPT 3 threads or tube connections in the L series (6 L to 42 L) and S series (6 S to 38 S) with metric threads M12x1.5 to M52x2. A gauge shut-off valve G 1/4 and replacement handles complete the range. PVC-U ball valves, 3-piece stainless steel ball valves and DVGW certified versions from Köly are listed in their own categories.

How to choose High-pressure ball valves
What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.
Selection criteria
| Criterion | Options | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Function | Straight-through ball valve, 3-way with L-port, 3-way with T-port, gauge shut-off valve | Compare the port positions with your circuit diagram. |
| Connection | Thread G 1/8 to G 4, tube connection 6 L to 42 L and 6 S to 38 S (M12x1.5 to M52x2), NPT 1/4 to NPT 3 | For tube connections, match the tube outside diameter and the L or S series to the fitting. |
| Operating pressure | 500 bar, 420 bar, 400 bar, 350 bar, 315 bar, 160 bar, 150 bar, 100 bar, 50 bar | Permissible pressure decreases as size increases. Stainless steel versions are rated from -0.999 bar. |
| Material | Zinc-plated steel, stainless steel 1.4571 and 1.4404, nickel-plated brass | Choose stainless steel where the medium or environment calls for corrosion protection. |
| Seals | POM / NBR, PTFE / FKM, PTFE / FKM / POM | Check the seal material against the medium in the data sheet. |
| Temperature | -20 to +100 °C, -20 to +200 °C | For hotter media choose the stainless steel version rated -20 to +200 °C. |
| Operation | Straight lever (standard) or offset handle, pneumatic double-acting, spring-closing, spring-opening | An offset handle helps where space beside the line is tight. The spring defines the valve position if the control air fails. |
