About Thread-reducers
The thread reducer adapts two different female threads to each other, in this case G 3/4 to G 1/4. It belongs to the speedfit push-in range and is released for working pressures from -0.95 to 16 bar, which includes vacuum duty.
What matters when choosing
- Thread pairing G 3/4 female to G 1/4 female: both sides are female, so each mating part has to carry a male thread.
- Working pressure -0.95 to 16 bar covers vacuum operation as well as the usual mains pressure of compressed air distribution.
- Material acetal polymer (POM): light, abrasion resistant and impact resistant, but no substitute for metal where high tightening torques are applied.
- speedfit series: the reducer is matched to the rest of the push-in programme of that series.
- Approvals: the POM push-in fittings carry the drinking water approvals DVGW, KTW, FDA and NSF.
Typical applications
- Adapting the port thread on service units and manifolds
- Drinking water installations that call for a corresponding approval
- Joining plastic and metal pipe in plant engineering
- Vacuum lines on suction cups and handling equipment
- Test set-ups that are frequently changed over to other port sizes
The material is acetal polymer (POM), and the push-in fittings of this series are approved for drinking water to DVGW, KTW, FDA and NSF. Country of origin is Germany (DE).
