About Screw-on connections

A screw-on connector is fitted with its female thread onto an existing male thread and provides a push-in port there, so the tube only has to be pushed in. A threaded port becomes a push-in connection without modifying the component itself. Working pressure runs from -0.95 bar to 16 bar.

What matters when choosing

• Thread: G 1/8, G 1/4, G 3/8 and G 3/4 female. What counts is the male thread on the valve, cylinder or manifold the connector is screwed onto.
• For tube O.D.: 4, 6 and 8 mm are available. The push-in port grips the outside diameter of the tube, not its clear bore.
• Working pressure: -0.95 to 16 bar. The vacuum figure allows use on suction lines as well as in compressed air distribution.
• Material: acetal polymer (POM) of the speedfit series, described in the product text as strong, tough, abrasion resistant, impact resistant and light.
• Operating temperature: separate limits are given for air and for water. The medium the line carries therefore has to be settled before the choice is made.
