Collar drill bushing form B to DIN 172, bore 4.2 x 8 mm, collar 11 mm, case-hardening steel

This collar drill bushing guides drills and reamers of 4.2 mm diameter over an overall length of 8 mm. The 8 mm outside diameter sits in the press fit of the drill plate, while the 11 mm collar rests on the plate surface and takes up the feed force.

Applications

It is used wherever holes of 4.2 mm have to be produced without centre punching and without wandering, for example in jigs for series parts, in assembly gauges or in prototype work.

Standard and material

The basis is DIN 172, form B, with a guiding bore of 4.2 mm. In form B the bore is rounded on the opposite side as well. The material is case-hardening steel, hardened to 740 ± 80 HV 10 and ground afterwards.
